I have a disability so...
Annie and Rae started "I'm Disabled So..." because they needed each other, but as their journey progressed, they discovered something remarkable - a shared desire for community. Yes, they cover navigating life's ups and downs of living with disabilities with honesty, vulnerability, and plenty of humor. But what truly sets them apart is their unwavering commitment to building a community of like-minded individuals who crave connection just as much as they do.
Our Story
Annie and Rae have the same Bipolar 1 disorder, the same bipolar insomnia, the same MFA degree and the same hair type -- maybe, TBD -- but it doesn't end there. They also find the same -- weird, dark, disturbing -- subjects absolutely hilarious. And they both worry about things that other people don't give a second -- or first -- thought. Annie and Rae can both laugh about their old sad, traumatic stories as they try to build new happy ones together. Is this podcast just an excuse to spend way too much time together? You might think so, but it's an endeavor they both believe in. Please join them!
